Please take note of prerequisite subjects required in order to qualify for medicine abroad:

  • Mathematics (Compulsory)
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • (Normally Applied Mathematics is recommended as the fifth subject as it overlaps with the physics and Mathematics courses)
For the sixth subject, this is normally finalised within approximately one week of a student arriving. Students can have the opportunity to try out one or two subjects (for their sixth subject choice) before committing if they wish. Some of the subjects (to be chosen as the sixth subject) may not be possible due to projects having already been submitted but most are still available for selection. We will advise on what we feel is the subject that will maximise the students’ scores.
In some instances an entrance exam might be necessary which will determine whether the student would gain entry at Pre-Med level which starts in January each year or direct entry into year in September.

Important Fact

Students wishing to study Medicine in the USA, Canada and Australia, would need to first complete a BSc degree before starting the Medicine programme.

Study Veterinary Science

  • The University is situated in the buzzing student city of Budapest and is one of the oldest Veterinary Schools in the world and most renowned.
  • The course duration is 5.5 years and you will receive your Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Diploma. The qualification is internationally recognized with an option to qualify to practise in SA, USA or Canada.
  • The curriculum consists of 5000+ hours of teaching.
  • All studies are taught in English.
  • Accommodation and living expenses costs approximately 500 euros per month.
  • Students have the opportunity to work in both the small animal and large animal clinic - domestic, farm and exotic animals which opens up a large variety of career opportunities.
  • Tuition is only 12,000 euros / year.

We are also able to offer Veterinary studies in the UK but the cost is far more expensive.
